The Perfect Broadhead For Elk: Why the Ti 1.5 and the Ti Hybrid Are Built For Deep Penetration

If you’re headed into the mountains chasing elk this September , one thing is for sure— you need a broadhead that’s capable of deep,  penetration and accurate enough to hit behind the pin. Elk are tough animals with thick hides, heavy bones, and an unbreakable will to live. That’s why our Ti 1.5 and Ti Hybrid broadheads have become go-to options for hardcore elk hunters.

CASEY MEKELBURG @caseymekelburg ARIZONA - ELK Titanium 1.5

Our Deepest Penetrating Broadheads — Period

The Ti 1.5 and Ti Hybrid are engineered for maximum penetration. Both heads are built from Grade 5 Titanium ferrules with hardened steel blades, giving you the strength to punch through heavy bone and dense muscle without compromising performance. In field testing and real-world hunts, these two heads consistently out-penetrate everything else in our lineup.

The deep penetration makes a huge difference on elk— especially on quartering shots or when you need to push through a shoulder and hit the vitals.

Designed to Take Advantage of Elk's Anatomy

Elk aren’t built like whitetails. Their ribs are spaced roughly 2 inches apart, giving bowhunters a narrow margin for a clean pass-through between the bones with larger cut broadheads. The Ti 1.5 and Ti Hybrid are compact and streamlined enough to slip between those ribs with minimal resistance, which means better penetration and more consistent access to the vitals — even on angled shots.

But it’s not just the size that makes these broadheads excel on elk — it’s the Lock and Pivot system.

Both the Ti 1.5 and Ti Hybrid are built on our Lock and Pivot ferrule, which allows the blades to pivot around bone instead of stopping cold or deflecting off target. So even if you don’t sneak directly between the ribs, your broadhead keeps driving forward with minimal loss of momentum. The result? Cleaner shots, deeper penetration, and more reliable pass-throughs — exactly what you need when facing a 700lb+ elk.
